What Our Salons are Saying

Some lines we tested met our low or no toxin standards but fell short of my professional standards for grey coverage, longevity and shine

Congruency of personal and professional life is the key to my success of nearly thirty years in the hair industry. I believe stylists thrive when their guests receive a holistic experience. For me, this holistic experience flows in the way I merge current research of the clear harm environmental toxins pose with timeless principles of good hair design.

A few facts may be of interest: Conservative estimates state 13,000* chemicals comprise ingredients commonly used personal care products. Only ten percent of those have been safety tested. American women douse themselves in 168+ chemicals each day, most of which are well known to be harmful and even banned from use outside of the USA.

This is important because cosmetic chemicals are implicated in hormonal disruption, headaches, skin inflammation and other woes. This troubled me, for I truly care about my guests and want to make their day without jeopardizing their health.

It wasn’t until my wife, a professional in Integrative Wellness, embarked upon a mission to upgrade my product line that my eyes were opened to the options.

She and I researched and tested multiple colour and wet lines. I’ve travelled nationally as a salon product educator and have used multiple high-end lines, so I knew the potential of a good color line and envisioned specific end-results for my new products. Some lines we tested met our low or no toxin standards but fell short of my professional standards for grey coverage, longevity and shine.

Three years ago, I introduced Natulique and haven’t looked back. My clients are savvy to natural options in personal care products and appreciate the absence of noxious, headache-causing odors. They’re pleased with the performance of NATULIQUE and I’m grateful to offer them a safer beauty option without compromising hair artistry.
